Intermediate Ballet
For experienced dancers,
includes some basic pointe-work.
Advanced Ballet
For experienced dancers,
includes advanced pointe-work.
Yoga-Ballet Fusion
Yoga-ballet fusion evolved through
Suzanne's journey as both a dancer and a yoga teacher. She
noticed in herself and other dancers that ballet could create a lot
of tension in the body especially in the upper body. She
wanted to find a way of freeing this stuck energy yet still develop
within such a refined technique.
Having studied with Jon Monks who has
a completely innovative yoga practice which has been influenced by
tai chi and years of self study, this inspired her own development
of yoga-ballet fusion. She learned that generally dancers are
very ungrounded and by grounding the energy this is the way to
redirect energy that is stuck in the body.
As dancers we tend to over impose on
the musculature because the bones are incorrectly stacked. It
is Suzanne's philosophy that working with awareness is worth more
than working with brute strength.
This creation is a mixture of yoga, ballet, tai chi, and any
inspiring movement.
This class is suitable for
teens/adults.
